BTS of developing the High Impact Sports Bra
This is the High Impact Sports Bra… and to be honest, it almost broke me.
When I first started designing it, I had one rule: it couldn't just work for me. I'm a B cup, and I didn't want to create another “one size fits some” bra that left bigger-busted women behind.
So I roped in my sister Kels. She's a size 14F and she hates sampling. But she believed in me — and she stood there through every fitting, every adjustment, every version. I'll never stop being grateful to her for that.
We went through 27 samples over 18 months before I finally launched the first version. And even then, I didn't stop. For the last 3 years I've been improving it — making sure it supported A–DD cups, then expanding into E–HH cups too.
There were times I thought it would never work. Times I cried over wasted samples and felt like giving up. But I kept going. Because I knew if I could get this right, it could change everything.
And it has. This bra is now our community's favourite design. It's the reason DTL exists today. It's given women support they've never had before, and confidence they didn't think a sports bra could give them.

We ship using Aramex & Aus Post. Most parcels are delivered within 5-7 days on standard post, and express is within 3-4 days. We pack and ship everything from our Gold Coast Burleigh warehouse.

Founder's Note — From Rhi
I never set out to start a brand.
At 19, I was just a girl with a second-hand sewing machine from Gumtree, some Spotlight fabric, and an idea:
"Maybe if I made leggings for the women at my gym, I'd make a few friends."
But what started as a way to connect turned into an obsession. I became hooked on creating the perfect pair of leggings, pieces that held you in, smoothed in all the right places, and moved with your body, no matter your shape, size, or stage of life.
Before I knew it, I found myself surrounded by an incredible community of women, most of them postpartum, juggling life, work, kids, and everything in between. They weren't looking for the "latest trend" or another "It-girl aesthetic."
They just needed activewear that worked:

I'm Rhi, the founder and designer behind DTL. Since 2019 I have partnered directly with our fabric mill and our cut-and-sew factory to shape what goes into each fabric, how every garment is put together and, above all, how it fits your body.
I filmed the footage playing here myself, on the factory floors where your DTL comes to life.
I collaborate directly with our mill on the weight, stretch, recovery, compression and handfeel we are after. Our signature 290gsm Fit & Sculpt fabric was developed exclusively for DTL, because a great fit begins with the right material.
Whether it is the height of the waistband or the placement of a sculpting seam, every detail is there on purpose, because we decided it should be.
Each fitting, each sample and every bit of customer feedback has shaped them further.
The DTL you wear now carries years of your input.
